Has anyone watched youtube videos from the account clunkmess? He has a couple of live craps videos that he filmed in casinos of real craps games in action. It's really awesome if anyone has a craps itch they can't scratch, I know I watch his videos when I wish I was on the craps table. Here is an example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFttbRftpeo&feature=c4-overview&list=UULRICoHn1yuXPJe8WwiLTjg
I'm not clunkmess or affiliated with him, I'm just trying to share his videos with those who don't know about them.

Just curious, not knocking anybody's likes or dislikes. But am I the only one who finds craps to be properly named.

He has another video on there (which I probably should have posted instead) of a guy rolling for about 15 minutes. It was great shooting.

Long ago I had a ton of $50 match plays, each coupon was good on a specific table game BJ, Baccarat, caps . I learn to disliked craps the most, mainly because it was time consuming. It can get boring

To each their own. However this is one reason why I love craps. Nothing angers me more than going to a blackjack table and losing 4 or 5 hands in a matter of minutes.

Now the term 'gambling' often means 'playing slots' but there was a time when Craps was the only game in town and a traveling salesman asked 'Have you seen Skinny Dugan' when he wanted to be steered to some floating craps game.

The thing I dislike about craps is your bet usually
isn't resolved after one throw. I hate that.

LOL. Somebody made a bet for the dealers and the Base Dealer announced 'The Dealers and their Ex-Wives are in the Game'.

I'm interested in finding out how he managed to shoot this. My guess is he had a camera in his hat. It's unlikely he could stand there with a hand held cell phone doing this unless they have no restrictions on shooting with a hand held cell phone camera. I also doubt he could get away with holding a cell phone so long at the table. I only watched the first few minutes and I will have to come back to watch the rest.
So far I see no reason to keep watching except to find out how this guy managed to shoot the video.

The boxman needs more sleep..yawns...bored as hell. I thought he was going to nap on his arm at about 4:07.

The History Behind Craps and Dice

If you're not familiar with Craps, it is essentially a game played with dice in which the players make wagers on the outcome of the roll, or a series of rolls, of a pair of dice. Players may wager money against each other ('street craps') or a bank ('casino craps' or 'table craps'). Because it requires little equipment, 'street craps' can be played in informal settings.

Legend has it, Roman soldiers invented the game of craps using knuckle-bones of a pig as dice and their armor shields as a table. Others believe craps originated from an Arabic dice game called Al Dar, which means “dice” in Arabic, and that merchants brought the game over to Europe in the 12th Century. The most commonly accepted version of the game's creation is that it was invented by Sir William of Tyre in 1125 during the Crusades and named after a castle named “Asart” or “Hazarth.” Later called “Hazard.'

Fast forward a bit, this English game “Hazard” became extremely popular in French taverns during the 17th Century. Because it required little equipment, 'street craps' could be played in informal settings. It is believed around this time the name 'craps' was invented as a spinoff of the French word “crapaud,” meaning ' toad' in reference to the original style of play by people crouched over a floor or sidewalk.

What later became the American version was brought to New Orleans by Bernard Xavier Philippe de Marigny de Mandeville, a wealthy gambler and politician descended from colonial Louisiana landowners. A flaw in the game allowed players to exploit the casino until American dice maker John H. Winn, also know as the father of the modern game, corrected this issue during the 19th Century by introducing the 'don't pass' betting option.

It was his version that continued to flourish, spreading throughout the French Louisiana colony of Arcadia and later along the Mississippi river in gambling boats. In 1931, the explosion of Las Vegas gambling lended even more popularity to the game.
